The problem

Many customers send voice messages instead of typing, so support agents have to listen to each one, sometimes more than once, before replying. Voice messages often contain private information that must not be sent to outside services.

What we built

We built a browser extension that adds a transcribe button next to every voice message in the support chat, and a speech recognition engine that runs on the agent's own computer, so the text appears in the chat and the audio never leaves the machine.

We benchmarked several models on Iraqi dialect recordings to pick the best balance of accuracy and speed.
